Many other opportunities
Columbia Health Services partners in the community on many projects and activities. One of those projects started as a Task Force response to suicide prevention, which led to an understanding that suicide is ultimately preventable through connection that leads to an experience of belonging.
Today, CHS plays a part in carrying this work forward through the Caring Adult Network (funded by Youth Development at Oregon Dept. of Education 2023-2025 to Columbia Health Services).
The Caring Adult Network was chosen for the 2023-25 focus area, after identifying that an underlying need in our community is trauma-trained volunteers to connect with youth and partner with them to build a community of belonging.

CHS is all over Columbia County, and even in rural parts of Clatsop County! If you would like to support our mission, there are many ways to volunteer. Join us at a community event, work behind the scenes to build Mental Health Tool Kits, Crochet baby blankets, donate children’s clothes to our clothing closet, and many more opportunities!
Volunteer roles that interact with people require a screening.
